Police Car Hit in Lexington Intersection Accident
Lexington, Kentucky police officer Dilyana Nicolova was responding to an emergency call with both her lights and siren turned on as she was driving along the intersection of Winchester Road and Eastland Parkway when another vehicle hit her car, the Lexington Herald-Leader reported on October 27.
The accident occurred around 8 p.m. According to police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts, Nicolova was headed left onto outbound Winchester from Eastland Parkway when the side of her car was hit by a Buick Century. She and the two passengers in the Buick were all transported to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital for the treatment of their non-life-threatening injuries.
Police authorities are currently conducting further investigations into the case.
