Nicholasville Road Motorcycle Accident Kills One

The Lexington Police Department in Kentucky reported a fatal motorcycle accident in Fayette County, according to WKYT on July 6.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Nicholasville Road and Southpoint Drive at around 11:45 p.m. and resulted in the death of 35-year-old resident Clinton John, who was identified by the county coroner.

According to preliminary investigations of the case as told to local media outlet WKYT, an SUV that was heading out of Nicholasville Road turned left into the path of the motorcycle driven by John, who was ejected from his vehicle due to the force of the sudden impact. He was declared dead at the scene of the accident.

Nicholasville Road’s inbound lanes were temporarily closed to traffic at Brannon Crossing while maintenance crews cleared the area and police investigators poured over the details of the accident site to get a clear picture of what happened. Nearby residents said that this is a dangerous stretch of roadway and accidents are not uncommon.
