Kentucky Ranked 34th Safest State in The Country
A new study conducted by the personal finance website WalletHub showed that Kentucky ranked 34th on its list of the safest states in the United States in 2016.
The study compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 25 metrics, such as home and community safety, financial safety, road safety, workplace safety, and safety from natural disasters. Of these categories, Kentucky did the best in the home and community safety category, ranking number 34 of 50. According to the study, the top 10 safest cities in the U.S. are Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine, Connecticut, Minnesota, Virginia, Utah, and Iowa. The least safe is Mississippi.
