McKay Friley

McKay Friley was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky and joined Wilson & McQueen in early 2024. She received an undergraduate degree from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina where she majored in Political Science and Sociology. There she was recognized for statistical excellence in her senior thesis and inducted into the Furman University Hall of Leaders for her campus involvement. She returned to Lexington to pursue her law degree from the University of Kentucky and graduated at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. While in law school she received the CALI Award for State & Local Taxation and developed a particular passion for both litigating and negotiating.
Prior to joining Wilson & McQueen, McKay practiced in insurance defense for both civil and worker’s compensation matters. Her experience working with insurance companies makes her uniquely adept at strategizing for her clients with Wilson & McQueen. Today, her practice focuses on representing injured employees from across Kentucky. She takes pride in helping Kentuckians recover the benefits they deserve from workplace accidents.
Outside of work McKay enjoys attempting to garden, traveling, and playing with her black labrador retriever – Bear.
